Journey Within features Marilia Moreno as she travels the world and embarks on a journey of inner health and wellness. For this show, which is a production of Insight TV, I was in charge of designing an artwork that was going to be used in different TV formats and as banners for different partners such as Samsung TV Plus, Plex and KPN.
The creative director had envisioned a design that depicted the host's inner journey to find herself: from start to finish. Marilia Moreno, the host, is your regular Los Angeles girl who has a city life, but still has an insatiable thirst for adventures, religion and spiritual healing. We wanted to show where she came from and all the experiences that shaped her into who she is today.
The left side represents her life in LA and the right side all the places that took her on her spiritual journey. The main challenge in this design was to somehow mix different styles —real-life photography and watercolor/sketch patterns.
Some elements that were included in the Keyart were Los Angeles buildings and palm trees, her previous life. And on the right side animals and places she gets to meet in the show
